Irina Tarbeeva grew up in the small town near Irkutsk, Russia. She moved to Lithuania at age 8. Her college degree is in education and psychology from the Vilniaus Pegagogical and Psychology University; she also has a Master’s in Social Work from the Vilniaus Social Studies University. She studied Yang style tai chi chuan for 3 years with Master Lue De in Lithuania. Ms. Tarbeeva moved to Chicago, Illinois, USA in 2002. She obtained her certification from Dr. Lam’s Tai Chi for Health Institute in 2014. She began teaching Sun style tai chi chuan developed for the treatment of arthritis and other chronic conditions in Iron River, MI soon after, founding the Tai Chi for Health Studio. Ms. Tarbeeva is currently training in 24 Postures Therapeutic Qigong with Bill Pickett.
Ms. Tarbeeva is the mother of both a son and a daughter, who mean so much to her. Her interest in the healing arts began in the woods and gardens around her childhood home in Russia. As a young woman she discovered a natural gift of energetic healing, and obtained training in that skill. Today Ms. Tarbeeva pursues a rich life of healing, balance, and artistic expression through tai chi and other energetic healing modalities, as well as through her home occupations of gardening, mothering, cooking, and creating healing potions for family and friends.
